Penguin Pose

The penguin pose is one of the best yoga exercises to increase your growing child’s height since it provides a full-body stretch from head to toes. It helps stretch your nerves and muscles, which supports a number of different systems within the body.

By practicing this yoga pose regularly, your child will learn the correct way to stand and reduce their risk of having flat feet.

  1. Stand up with your heels together and toes apart so that your feet are in wide “V” form.

  2. Turn each foot out as far as you can, then lower your arms until your fingers almost touch your thighs, forming parentheses around your torso.

  3. Bring your arms alongside your body and try to walk like a penguin by keeping your heels glued together.
